After their reported break-up, Cardi B and Stefon Diggs grabbed headlines recently after they were caught on camera having a tense exchange outside a Maryland coffee shop. However, according to Stefon, it was not much of a fight at all. When a paparazzo caught up with him and questioned him about it, he brushed it off, saying they were doing just fine and that things were “great”. He said:
“What argument? I don’t even think that was an argument. It’s okay, women get like that sometimes.”
Stefon’s comments mark the first time he has publicly addressed the incident, especially after the video went viral and became a major talking point among netizens. It is worth noting that Cardi has already cleared the air about the video by jokingly saying on social media that she was simply “hangry” at the time.
After listening to Stefon’s answer, the paparazzo pressed Stefon a bit further. When Stefon was questioned about whether he and Cardi B are back together, Stefon played it safe by avoiding giving a straight answer. He said:
“That’s a beautiful, talented mother, and I love her to death. You have to ask her.”
Stefon was further asked about his thoughts on Cardi B’s ex-husband, Offset, seeking a DNA test. In response, the NBA player made it clear that he did not know anything about it. According to him, this is because he spends most of his time training rather than being online. He said, “I didn’t see that. I’m not online too much. I don’t spend too much time online, bro.”
What caused Stefon Diggs and Cardi B’s alleged breakup?
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs sparked breakup rumours following the 2026 Super Bowl when eagle-eyed fans noticed the duo unfollowing each other on social media. At the time, neither Cardi nor Stefon opened up about allegedly breaking up. However, later, a source told US Weekly that the duo had constant ups and downs in their relationship. They claimed that this was not the first time the rapper and NFL player had called off their relationship. According to the source, Cardi and Stefon’s breakup was not as sudden as fans believed, suggesting they had a rocky relationship behind the scenes. Opening up about what caused their split this time, the source said:
“They are always so upset and down. This isn’t the first time they have broken up. Cardo is single and putting herself out there again. She feels free.”
As per the insider, the trust issues between Cardi and Stefon had played a major role in their breakup. Reportedly, Stefon had betrayed Cardi B a number of times, and her friends had been trying to give her a wake-up call about how she could do much better than the NFL star. While it is unclear in what way Stefon had allegedly betrayed Cardi, he had consistently been embroiled in rumours about his personal life.
On February 25, 2026, Cardi B briefly touched upon her breakup with Stefon. At the time, she was reportedly on the road with her Little Miss Drama Tour. While on stage at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, she insisted that even though she was no longer close with Stefon, it did not give anybody the right to comment on him. She said, “Just because I ain’t fu–ing with my baby daddy doesn’t mean you get to talk about my baby daddy.”
