According to Town & Country magazine, Matteo Berrettini’s girlfriend, Venessa Bellini, is Italian. She grew up in Rome, in the west of Milan. She is reportedly a professional hip-hop dancer and trained at the Academy of Excellence in Lucca, where she currently works. Nearly four years ago, in 2022, Vanessa was seen competing on the Italian talent show, Maria De Filippi. According to Vanity Fair Italy:
“Vanessa’s talent was noticed by industry insiders, and after her television experience, she began her career in the world of dance, joining various dance troupes. This career led her to the stage at the latest edition of Sanremo as part of the supporting cast of dancers for artists such as The Kolors, Rose Villain, and Elodie.”
Vanessa and Matteo Berrettini crossed paths for the first time at a concert in Turin in June 2025. Well, the concert in question was of Italian rapper, Marracash, where Vanessa had been dancing. After falling in love, Matteo and Vanessa confirmed their relationship on social media. Speaking about their relationship, Vanessa’s sister, Jessica Bellini, told the magazine, DiPiùTv:
“It all started there, with an exchange of glances. It was strange to see one of the strongest and most famous tennis players in the world arrive at our house… Let’s hope he’s just as serious, that he doesn’t hurt my sister.”
More recently, at the beginning of 2026, Vanessa and Matteo Berrettini enjoyed a vacation together after the Monte Carlo Masters. This is also where the duo celebrated the tennis player’s birthday. Matteo Berrettini was in a relationship with Croatian-Australian player, Ajla Tomljanovic. The duo reportedly began dating in 2019 before breaking up in 2022. During their relationship, Matteo and Ajla could often be seen supporting each other at tournaments, making them one of tennis’ most recognised couples. Interestingly, in a 2021 interview, Matteo confessed that his performance had significantly improved after he began dating Ajla.
After his breakup with Aja, Matteo Berrettini began dating Italian television presenter and model, Melissa Satta in January 2023. This was another high-profile relationship that received a lot of media attention. While they were together, Melissa was often blamed by critics for her then-boyfriend’s struggles with injuries and inconsistent results. Melissa revealed that the unfair comments came not only from the media, but also from social media users, and it went on for months. However, she chose to handle the situation with grace and decided not to respond publicly, believing she was strong enough to handle the judgment. Reportedly, Melissa and Matteo Berrettini broke up in February 2024.
