The Twisha Sharma death case has now taken an interesting turn. A court in Bhopal on June 2, 2026, has ordered a 14-day extended judicial custody for Twisha’s husband, Samarth and her mother-in-law, Giribala. Both have been accused of dowry harassment and, on completion of their CBI remand, have to be in judicial custody for 14 days. Now, Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, claimed that her life, along with the life of her son, Samarth are in danger.

According to a report by HT, Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, alleged that her son, Samarth, was assaulted by advocate, Anurag Srivastava when the proceedings took place in Jabalpur. When the heated exchange between the two had kind of intensified, Samarth was told to disclose why he was hiding within the complex of Jabalpur court after his wife, Twisha, died. Giribala had objected to the media trial related to the case, stating their lives are in danger. She said:

“The media trial must cease. Wherever we go, the media follows us; this must be stopped. Our lives are in danger.”

A report by ANI revealed that advocate, Anurag Srivastava had refuted all the claims and shared that the same could be verified via the CCTV clippings which were installed in the premises of the court. Giribala alleged that she and her son, Samarth, are being followed everywhere. Both of them are the prime accused in the untimely demise of Twisha Sharma, who reportedly hanged herself by suicide on May 12, 2026, at her matrimonial home in Bhopal.

Twisha Sharma reportedly was aged 33 when she died by suicide at her in-laws’ house in Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. An in-depth investigation is underway, and all fingers are pointing at Giribala and Samarth for harassing Twisha mentally. The circumstances related to Twisha’s demise have been a mystery, but Giribala had left no stone unturned in character-assassinating her dead daughter-in-law.

In one of her many comments, Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, mentioned that Twisha used not to water the plants in the house. She claimed that the deceased had been very fond of plants before her marriage. Giribala’s statement made it evident that she had more love for plants than for humans.

The CBI had produced the accused, Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh and Samarth Singh in front of a local court in relation to the demise of Twisha. Both the accused are being interrogated in detail, and the sequence of events was recreated with the help of an 80 kg dummy. It was very similar to the weight of Twisha’s, and the digital evidence has been sent for forensic examination. Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, had raised concerns related to the recent crime scene recreation done by the CBI.

She claimed procedural irregularities and asked why she was dropped three houses away from her main residence. She claimed she had not been dropped at her doorstep and objected to the clip that went viral. The CBI had informed the court that it was looking into judicial remand for the accused, and if required during the investigation, further police remand may be sought. The agency revealed that at this stage, they are requesting Judicial Remand (JR); however, should the need arise, Police Remand will be sought.

The CBI had reconstructed the turn of events related to the demise of former model, Twisha. The scene was recreated at Giribala’s house using dummies. Present were the forensic, CBI, and crime scene experts; Samarth and Giribala were asked in detail about what had happened exactly on the night of May 12, 2026, when Twisha had died.
