There is no serious threat to jobs from AI: Demand for cyber security experts increased due to AI, package up to Rs 76 crore in US

Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently spoke with the hosts of The New York Times’ technology podcast ‘Hard Fork’. During this, discussions were held about the future of Google Search, use of AI agents and college graduates. Pichai has said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the world very rapidly. In such a situation, it is natural for people to be worried. Actually, people are not yet ready to understand and adapt to such a big technological change. A figure emerged that only 16% people consider AI mostly good, while 35% people consider it bad. On this, Pichai said that it is the responsibility of tech companies to convey the benefits of AI to people and show how this technology can improve life. On the fears of loss of jobs and change in work due to AI, he said that the actual situation will not be as serious as is estimated. However, he also said that every generation has concerns about the future, but ultimately that generation creates a better world. The capabilities of entry-level youth will increase. Talking about the future of entry-level youth, Pichai said that AI will increase the capabilities of people. Just as the introduction of spreadsheets changed the way of working, similarly AI will also open the way for new beginnings for many people. He said that in the coming times, more people in the world will be able to code than ever before. According to Pichai, AI can also bring a big change in professions like medicine. Currently, a lot of doctors’ time is spent on paperwork and technical processes, AI will save this time, so that doctors will be able to spend the remaining time with patients. Demand for cyber security experts increased due to AI, package up to Rs 76 crore in US. With the increasing use of AI, the demand for cyber security experts is increasing rapidly. According to job search platform Glassdoor, there has been an 11% increase in cybersecurity jobs in the first quarter of this year. The main reason is believed to be the rapid use of AI-based coding tools, due to which the risk of bugs and security flaws in the system is increasing. Employees of tech companies are now generating code from AI on a large scale. Experts say that this not only increases the speed of work, but sometimes also creates weaknesses in the software. Major AI companies have already warned that models like Anthropic’s ‘Mythos’ could be used to exploit software vulnerabilities. According to Lee Kisner, LinkedIn’s Chief Information Security Officer, the demand for security experts is continuously increasing. The impact of AI is not limited to cyber security only. New jobs are also being created in private equity, venture capital and AI industries. AI engineers are said to be in highest demand among new college graduates. Google Vice President Nick Fox says that more software engineers are needed now than before. However, on the other hand, layoffs are also taking place in the tech industry. Meta laid off about 8 thousand employees last week. Amazon has recently eliminated 16 thousand jobs. Companies like Stripe, Snap and Block have also laid off thousands of employees. Cyber security hiring has gained further momentum with the introduction of Anthropic’s ‘Mythos’ and later OpenAI’s GPT 5.4 cyber model. The package of security executives has reached Rs 66 to 76 crores.
