Tech company Oppo has launched ‘Enco Air 5 Pro’. This new device has 55dB of ANC i.e. Active Noise Control. It makes the heavy outside noise disappear. Without ANC, this device gives up to 54 hours of non-stop playback time. Its price is around ₹ 5000.
Unboxing: No Type-C charging cable from the box
The box packaging of this device is quite simple. As soon as you open the box, you find the actual headphones at the top. Just below that are additional ear tips and a user manual. However, the company has done some cost cutting here. It does not have a Type-C charging cable.
Design and fitting: Premium look in matte black color variant
In terms of build quality, its matte black color variant gives a very premium feel. On its case, OPPO badging is given on the front and an LED light indicator is given just below. Along with the Type-C port on the bottom surface, a reset button is also available.
These earbuds come with vacuum type design, due to which they fit well in the ears. It has been given a rating of IP55, which means it will not get damaged even if you sweat or splash some water during workout. It can be used comfortably for outdoor jogging or walking.


Specifications: 12mm titanium coated drivers
It has 12mm titanium coated drivers. It is based on Bluetooth version 6.0. It supports Google Fast Pair along with LHDC 5.0, AAC and SBC codecs. Its sound output is great for bass lovers. Its mids and treble are also quite balanced.
Connectivity: Clear calling with 6 mics and game mode without lag
The device features dual device connectivity. With this, it can be kept connected to both laptop and smartphone at the same time. For calling, both its buds together provide a total of 6 mics. For gamers, it has a dedicated game mode, in which the sound of footsteps and firing is heard very accurately without any lag.

Advanced touch controls: stem-to-volume control and live translator
Touch controls are provided on the stem of these earbuds only. You can play/pause music with a single tap and switch to the next track with a double tap. Additionally, the volume can also be adjusted directly by sliding up or down on the stem. An ‘AI translator’ is also provided in it.

Battery life and app features: 54-hour backup and wear detection
The earbuds have a 62mAh battery and the charging case has a 530mAh battery. It gives a battery backup of up to 29 hours with ANC on and 54 hours with ANC off. This is managed through the ‘HeyMelody’ application, where the battery percentage of the case and buds is visible.
Features like ANC/Transparency mode, dual device connectivity, ‘OPPO Alive Audio’ for 3D surround sound, equalizer (EQ) presets, high-res mode, low-latency gaming mode, Spotify Tap and ‘Find My Earbuds’ can be customized through the app.
It also has a wear detection feature, due to which the song or video automatically pauses as soon as you remove the earbuds from the ear and plays when you put them back on.

Final Verdict: Should you buy it?
If your budget is around ₹ 5000 and you are looking for earbuds that offer powerful sound, heavy bass and amazing active noise cancellation, then this is a ‘value for money’ deal.
Point to keep in mind: In order to cut costs, the company has removed the Type-C charging cable from the box, so you should already have a Type-C cable. Also, those who do heavy professional gaming should still look at wired headphones. Leaving aside these small things, there is no competition in this budget in terms of features.
