He says that in the era of AI, more important than what to study will be how better to learn using AI. In an interview given to a Singapore channel, Huang said that parents should not be worried about which subject their children choose. According to him, the things that were important in the past, like creativity, storytelling ability, intelligence and human connection, will matter most in the future too. Huang also mentioned the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi, which values the beauty of imperfection. He indicated that in the perfect world of AI, it is the emotions, mistakes and personal style of humans that can become the most special. Jason Huang described jobs as baskets of tasks. According to him, AI will automate many repetitive tasks, but this will free up time for humans to do more difficult, creative and strategic work. He also said that AI will not make humans lazy. Just as after the advent of computers, internet and smartphones, people did not become less busy but started working more, similarly AI will also increase human ambition. In the era of AI, it is important for children to maintain a mindset of creative thinking, smart use of AI tools, curiosity and continuous learning. Journalism, art, storytelling will never be outdated. Huang specifically mentioned areas like journalism, art, design and storytelling. He says AI can provide information, but having human-like conversations, asking the right questions at the right time, and crafting stories that connect with people are still human capabilities. He said that a good interviewer not only prepares, but also listens carefully to the other person and gives better response at that very moment.
