Royal Enfield has launched its new model ‘Bullet 650’. Its starting price has been kept at ₹ 3.65 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of price, this bike is similar to the initial colors of the recently launched Classic 650 Twin, but is much cheaper than its top-spec Chrome variant. It will have two color options, Canon Black and Battleship Blue.
Same price as Classic 650, but many changes have been made in the look.
The new Bullet 650 has been added by Royal Enfield as the seventh model in its 650cc parallel-twin portfolio. Just as Bullet 350 and Classic 350 share many things within the 350cc segment in the market, the company has adopted the same formula here too.
Most of the mechanical parts of the Bullet 650 are the same as the classic 650 twin, but some significant changes have been made in its design and styling to maintain the traditional identity of the Bullet.
Chrome headlight hood and traditional tail-light for a classic look
To give the bike a classic look, it has been given a chrome headlight hood and traditional tail-light. Additionally, the Bullet’s signature hand-painted pinstripes (golden stripes on the mudguard and tank) and the signature metal badge on the fuel tank have been given. Compared to the Classic 650, its rear fender (rear mudguard) comes in a more squared-off design, which gives it an old Bullet look.

More comfortable single-piece seat will be available for long distance travel
The biggest and practical change made in Bullet 650 is its seat. While the Classic 650 has a removable pillion seat (option to remove the rear seat), the company has given a single-piece stepped seat in the Bullet 650. It is believed that this seat will prove to be more comfortable for both the bike rider and the pillion in long distance journeys than the classic one.
Apart from this, the instrument cluster of the bike has been kept digi-analog only, in which a small digital display is available for the fuel gauge and odometer. Polished aluminum switchgear has been provided on the handle of the bike which enhances its premium look.

Old reliable 648cc engine, which will generate 47hp power
Talking about the engine, Bullet 650 has the company’s tried and tested 648cc parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine. This engine generates maximum power of 47hp and peak torque of 52Nm. This powerful engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
For suspension duty, the bike has been provided with Showa telescopic fork with 120mm travel at the front and twin shock absorbers with 90mm travel at the rear, which claim to provide better riding experience even on bad roads.
This is the company’s cheapest long-wheelbase 650cc bike.
Priced at ₹3.65 lakh, the bike is about ₹14,000 cheaper than the top-end chrome variant of the Classic 650. With this, it has become the most affordable model based on Royal Enfield’s long-wheelbase 650 platform. Let us tell you that the company’s Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650 and Classic 650 Twin are also based on this platform.
