Apple has officially announced the dates of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference i.e. WWDC 2026. According to the company, this event will start from June 8 and continue till June 12, 2026. WWDC 2026 will begin with Apple’s opening keynote, where the company will introduce its next major software updates. This year the tagline of the event has been kept as “Coming bright up”. It is believed that this could be one of the last WWDC keynotes during Tim Cook’s tenure as CEO.
Like every year this time too WWDC 2026 New software versions are expected to be introduced for iPhone, iPad, Mac and other Apple devices. The company can also make announcements related to iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27.
The biggest highlight of WWDC 2026 this year is considered to be the new Siri Assistant. Apple has been working on a major upgrade of Siri for quite some time now and this time the company may introduce Gemini-powered Siri. It is being told that the new Siri will be more conversational and AI based than before. Preparations are being made to bring it closer to the chatbot experience like ChatGPT.
Additionally, this new version of Siri could reportedly be a part of iOS 27. Although this time there is little hope of major design changes, but many new changes can be seen in the interface and AI features.
Last year, Apple’s Liquid Glass design theme was discussed a lot at WWDC 2025. Before that, Apple Intelligence had become the biggest highlight of the company’s event. In such a situation, this time the company’s entire focus can be on AI features and smarter Siri experience.
According to Apple, WWDC 2026 will be held online, while a special in-person event will also be held at Apple Park on June 8. Developers and students will be able to watch keynotes and other sessions through the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube.
