Recently, influencer, Matthew Ables, who has over 47.3K followers on Instagram, revealed how he became part of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Not only this, he didn’t just get his few seconds of fame, but also money. Yes, Matthew revealed that he was paid a cheque of USD 329, which is around INR 19,900 after converting the currency. The influencer also revealed how he became part of the film.
Mathew shared that it happened unexpectedly as he ran into the actress, Meryl Streep, while he was walking on the streets of New York, where the movie was shot. Later, he found that all the people who were walking with the actress on the streets were all paid actors. Then, he also stumbled upon a casting notice, and he applied for the role; the only task was to bring his own wardrobe. He ended up getting a small part in the film.
Mathew revealed that he got affordable outfits for the shooting, which were from H&M and not Prada, as he couldn’t afford them. He revealed that he spent more than 15 hours on set during the film. While his first scene was shot effortlessly, he also got his pay cheque, the second scene asked him about his clothes, which he told them were from Armani, which wasn’t true, and he got fired.
