Kodak, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was booked by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on May 6, 2026, after authorities allegedly found drugs in his car.

Kodak Black and Maranda Johnson reportedly crossed paths in 2017. However, the duo kept their on-and-off relationship away from the limelight. The duo stole the spotlight on the show, Netflix show, W.A.G.s to Riches, with their tumultuous relationship. Maranda and Kodak were blessed with a baby girl, Queen Yuri, on January 22, 2022, and the couple completed their family by welcoming a baby boy, Prince, on February 27, 2024. However, in 2025, Kodak and Maranda’s on-and-off romance turned serious when the latter accused the former of mental and physical abuse. She also alleged that the rapper was a deadbeat father.
However, Kodak Black’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, denied Maranda’s claims. He pointed out that there was proof about the rapper providing financial support to his children. Bradford claimed that the renowned rapper also bought his children gifts. Kodak’s lawyer accused Maranda of damaging seven of Kodak’s cars and breaking a house window while the children were inside. Bradford was quoted as saying:
“Made up stories where we have evidence of Kodak not only paying and giving money for his children, but also buying gifts. The rest is pure fiction from a very selfish young lady. I didn’t want to comment on this young lady committing defamation which we will sue her for, but also for the over 150k worth of damage she did to 7 cars and smashing a window of the house that had his kids inside.”
At the time, Maranda reportedly tried to get more child support money from Kodak for their two children. Kodak’s lawyer told TMZ that Maranda filed legal papers in Florida asking for higher child support payments. The lawyer claimed that the rapper spends time with his kids and also pays money for child support.
