Ram Charan is one of the highest-paid actors in Telugu cinema. He made his acting debut with the film, Chirutha. From the hit film, Chirutha, Ram reportedly earned Rs. 15 lakhs. By 2014, Ram Charan was reportedly charging more than Rs. 10 crores per movie. As per a report by TOI, his salary in 2015 was Rs. 12 crore. His fees skyrocketed at the time of RRR.

Ram Charan reportedly charged Rs. 45 crores for Rajamouli’s big-budget film that was a massive hit in 2022. Now, as per a report by Times Now, Ram has allegedly bagged the highest pay cheque of his role in Peddi. Yes, you read it right. As per the report, Ram allegedly took home Rs. 60 to Rs. 70 crores for his role in Buchi Babu Sana’s sports action drama.

Janhvi Kapoor is a popular actress in Bollywood. She is the daughter of late actress, Sridevi and film producer, Boney Kapoor. She made her acting debut with the romantic drama, Dhadak. She made her Telugu debut with the hit film, Devara: Part 1. She reportedly charged Rs. 5 crore for her role in Devara: Part 1. Now, according to the Times Now report, Janhvi has allegedly bagged Rs. 5 to Rs. 6 crores for her role in the sports action drama, Peddi. She will be seen portraying the role of ‘Achiyamma.’

Alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Mirzapur fame, Divyenndu, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani. According to the Times Now report, Divyenndu as ‘Rambujji’ allegedly charged Rs. 3 to Rs. 5 crores, Shiva Rajkumar as ‘Gournaidu’ reportedly earned Rs. 4 to Rs. 5 crores, Jagapathi Babu as ‘Appalasoori’ allegedly took home Rs. 2 to Rs. 4 crores and Boman Irani, who will be playing an important role in Peddi, allegedly earned Rs. 1 to Rs. 2 crores for his role.

The upcoming film, Peddi, follows a young, determined villager named ‘Peddi Pehelwan’ (played by Ram Charan) who uses sports as a tool to unite his divided community. As ‘Peddi Pehelwan’ tries his best to unite the people of his community, he faces strong opposition from a powerful rival group that controls around 40 per cent of local influence.

The story of Peddi is set in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, where around 65 per cent of village life revolves around agriculture and local sports tradition. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on June 4, 2026. A while back, Peddi’s trailer was released. Sharing a review on the trailer, a film critic wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
