Electric two-wheeler startup Oben Electric has launched its new electric motorcycle ‘Roar Evo’ in India. The Oberon Roar Evo is placed between the Roar EZ and Roar EZ Sigma in the company’s lineup. It will have features like anti-theft alert with a range of 180km. The company has kept its starting price at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This price will be valid for the first 10,000 customers only. After this the price of the bike will increase to Rs 1,24,999. Booking of sporty electric bike has been started from Rs 777. Design: More sharp and sporty than before, the design of Oben Roar Evo is quite different and modern from the company’s previous bikes. Its front has a single projector headlight with an LED DRL strip at the top, which gives it a sharp look. The bike gets an aggressive tank shroud and sleek tail section, which gives it a sporty look. It is available in four colors – Neutron Blue, Pulse Red, Magnetic Black and Photon White. Battery and Range: Charges up to 80% in 90 minutes Performance: Speed ​​from 0 to 40 in 3 seconds Roar Evo has a 9kW motor which generates peak torque of 250Nm. For the first time, ‘chain drive’ system has been used in any of Oben’s bikes. Features: 5-inch TFT console and smartphone connectivity The bike has a 5-inch TFT display, which supports Bluetooth connectivity. Through this, riders can see turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, call and message alerts on their screen. Apart from this, it also has features like fall alert, reverse mode, regenerative braking and 2 USB charging ports. Through the Oben app, users can avail features like remote tracking, anti-theft alerts and geo-fencing. Comfort and Braking: 200mm ground clearance. The bike weighs 140kg and has a seat height of 780mm, which makes it easy to ride. It has a ground clearance of 200mm and water wading capacity (ability to walk in water) of 230mm. For safety, disc brakes and combined braking system have been provided on both the wheels. To keep the luggage, it also gets 4-litre storage space in place of the tank and 6-litre storage space under the seat.
