Aussie opener Mitchell Marsh scored the fastest Indian Premier League hundred by a Lucknow Super Giants batter during an IPL 2026 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday.
Marsh reached his century in just 49 deliveries, with a four against RCB pacer Romario Shepherd. The previous fastest hundred for LSG was Rishabh Pant’s 54-ball effort against RCB last year.
On Thursday, Marsh kept his foot on the pedal right through the innings, wading through multiple rain breaks which interrupted play.
The 34-year-old stormed on with a flurry boundaries, showering nine fours and nine sixes at the time of the third rain-forced interruption. At that point, Marsh had scored 107 off LSG’s 145 runs from the innings.
Marsh’s previous IPL hundred came against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad in 2025.
