She recalled the actor’s final moments and mentioned that everything looked like a usual and normal day until he was stabbed to death. Wendy stated that James had gotten up to pick up the newspaper. She also revealed that she did not see the incident as she did not expect her son to be standing there with the intention to kill him. Wendy was quoted as saying:
“James had gotten up to get the newspaper at about 9 o’clock, but he didn’t make the coffee like he usually does. I just heard the door open because he was getting the paper. I can only assume my son was already out there and they started to argue, from my understanding, on the front yard.”

Further, during the interview, Wendy Gledhill revealed that she got to know about the tragic incident only after the police arrived at her doorstep, thirty minutes later. She shared that “didn’t know what was going on.” She also explained that the cops asked her to stay away from the main door as they felt something might still be dangerous. Recalling the incident, she shared:
“The first time I heard something was happening was when the police showed up. They said someone had called 911 and they told me someone was wrapped in a blanket outside the house.”
Wendy also spoke about her son, Michael, who has been charged for brutally stabbing the actor, claiming his life. A few days ago, it was revealed that Michael had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and for the same he used to take medicines as well. However, in the recent interview, Wendy explained that Michael may have skipped his medicine on the day of the incident. Wendy also revealed that she has been devastated from James Handy’s death and has not left the house since his death. She said, “I was with James for 31 years and of course I loved him dearly. This is so difficult.”
