Apple launched the iPhone in 2007 and since then the company has continuously strengthened its user base. Now a new report of 2026 has revealed that the brand loyalty of iPhone users has increased significantly in the last few years. According to the report, most of the iPhone users prefer to buy iPhone next time too, whereas Android users are more likely to change the platform. This trend shows that Apple’s ecosystem and user experience still plays an important role in retaining users.
Report It is from SellCell, in which about 5,000 smartphone users of America were included. When iPhone users were asked what they would do the next time they upgrade, 96.4 percent said they would buy an iPhone again. Only 3.6 percent users said to switch to Android. This figure was 91.9 percent in 2021 and 90.5 percent in 2019, meaning iPhone loyalty has increased over time.
On the other hand, the loyalty of Android users was recorded at 86.4 percent. This means that Android users change platforms more easily than iPhone users. According to the report, Android users are about 3.7 times more likely to switch to iPhone, while iPhone users are significantly less likely to switch to Android.
Many reasons have come to light behind iPhone users remaining loyal. About 60.8 percent users cited liking of iOS as the biggest reason, while 17.4 percent users cited their investment in Apple’s ecosystem as the reason. This includes iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, and easy integration with devices like AirPods or Apple Watch.
The report also revealed that some users consider leaving the iPhone, and a major reason for this is the price. The high price of the iPhone prompts some users to switch to Android.
Apart from this, an increase has also been seen in the loyalty of Samsung users. According to the report, Samsung’s loyalty has increased from 74 percent in 2021 to 90.1 percent in 2026.
