India’s First Coupe SUV Launched: Tata Curvv EV X-Series, 502km Range, Starts ₹16.99 Lakh

Tata Motors’ electric vehicle unit Tata.EV has launched the country’s first coupe SUV Curve EV, the new Series Its starting price has been kept at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The car runs 502 kilometers on full charge.

The Curve EV Series Tata has also added a new ‘Nitro Crimson’ color to it. Apart from this, it will also be available in Iconic Dark Edition. The company is also giving lifetime high voltage battery warranty on it.

Performance: Will run 502km on a single charge

Tata Curve EV Series The company claims that it will give ARAI certified range of 502km once fully charged. Whereas in real world driving conditions (C75) its range will be around 400km.

Accomplished X 55: Paranomic sunroof and 360-degree camera

This variant is for those customers who want modern technology and comfort. It has an openable paranomic sunroof, 26.03 cm digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. For safety, it has a 360-degree surround view camera system with blind-spot monitor. It features India’s first R-Comfort® seats that come with passive ventilation and premium leatherette upholstery.

Empowered X55: Level-2 ADAS and 9-speaker JBL sound system

This is the most luxurious variant of this lineup. Many premium features have been added to it along with all the features of Accomplished It gets a large 31.24cm cinematic touchscreen, ventilated front seats and 6-way power adjustable driver seat.

For safety, it has been provided with Level-2 ADAS with 20 features. Other features include gesture controlled powered tailgate, R18 alloy wheels and V2V/V2L (Vehicle to Vehicle/Load) charging facility.

Exterior: Tata’s first car with flush-type door handles

The overall design of Tata Curve EV is inspired by the company’s Nexon EV and Punch EV. It has connected LED DRL in the front and all LED headlight setup on the bumper. There is a closed panel in the middle of the headlight setup, where the charging flap is located.

18 inch aerodynamic style alloy wheels are provided on the sides. The Curve is the first car from Tata to get flush-type door handles. At the same time, the wheel arches are squarish in shape and an SUV-coupe style sloping roofline is given above.

The rear has a connected LED tail light setup, thick black bumper with skid plate, triangular reflectors and reverse lamps. The ground clearance of the car is 190mm and water wading capacity is 450mm. Its boot space is 500 liters and 11.6 liters of frunk space is also provided in the bonnet.

Safety Features: 6 airbags, 360 degree camera with blind spot monitor

For passenger safety, the car has been provided with safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitor, all-wheel disc brake, hill hold assist, electronic parking brake with auto hold and 360 degree camera with blind view monitor.

Navigation and blind spot monitors are displayed on the driver screen. Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is also provided in Tata Curve electric car, under which functions like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking are available.

‘Ecoustic Sound System’ to alert people in crowd

Tata Motors has provided an acoustic sound system in the Curve EV, due to which the sound will be heard outside when the speed of the car is less than 20 kilometers per hour. This feature has been designed to alert people walking in crowded areas.
