Honda Cars India has finally launched the updated version of its popular sedan car City in India. Its starting price has been kept at ₹ 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has made many important changes in the look and features of this car, so that it can be given a completely fresh look amidst the tough competition in the market. How much has the car changed from outside: Talking about the revised grille and new alloy wheels design, Honda has made the look of the car a little sharper than before. Its front has been given a revised grille, new bumper design and new alloy wheels. Changes have also been made in the LED lighting elements of the car, due to which its look looks quite clean. However, the company has retained its old signature look. Cabin and Features: Touchscreen and advanced connected car technology The layout inside the car has remained the same, but new updates have been added to the list of features. It will have features like large touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, digital driver display, connected car tech and sunroof. What is special in safety: ADAS with Honda Sensing Suite To make the car safe, Honda has laid special emphasis on the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) package during its presentation. In the new updated City, customers will continue to get the support of ‘Honda Sensing Suite’ as before, which improves safety during the journey. Engine and Gearbox: Only the old 1.5-litre petrol engine will be available. Mechanically, no changes have been made in the car. The updated City has the same old 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine comes with both manual (MT) and CVT gearbox options. This time the company has not made any changes in the powertrain, which clearly shows that their entire focus was on enhancing the look and appeal of the car. There will be direct competition with these vehicles: Competition between Verna and Slavia. To maintain its strong hold in the midsize sedan segment, the company has given it refreshed front-end styling, new alloy wheels and advanced connected features. After its launch in the Indian market, this updated Honda City will compete directly with cars like Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
