Google has released the official schedule of its upcoming developer conference Google I/O 2026. The event will be streamed live from Mountain View on May 19 and 20. According to the company, this year’s focus will be on new updates and features on AI, Android, Chrome and Cloud platforms. The special thing is that this time many big announcements can be made regarding automated development tools through “agentic coding” i.e. AI.

The first Google Keynote will take place at 10:00 AM PT (10:30 PM PT in India), while the Developer Keynote will be held at 1:30 PM PT (2 AM PT in India). During these sessions the company can introduce new products, features and developer tools. Apart from this, live demo and technical sessions will also be included in this two-day event.
According to the schedule, this time special emphasis will be given on the “agentic era” of development. The company is focusing on such tools that can automate the routine work of coding with the help of AI. This will give developers an opportunity to spend more time on the larger architecture and innovation of the project.
New changes can also be seen in Android development. Google may introduce features that will make AI integration easier from the early stages of app development to the final product. Apart from this, there will be an emphasis on creating “agent-ready” applications for web development, where tasks like debugging and interface design can be automated.
Google will also release on-demand sessions and CodeLabs on May 21 after the event.
