Simon Cooper
has been promoted to a newly created role at Born Social: executive creative director.
He joined the London-based social agency two years ago to head the Ford Account. Now, he will lead a
22-strong creative team. His work spans Spotify Wrapped, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 1.
Cooper reports to CCO Paddy Smith, who relocated to the U.S. to lead the agency’s growth there.
Before Born Social, Cooper held creative director roles at That Lot and worked in production at BBC Radio 1 and Dave (UKTV).
Smith called Cooper “a triple threat: a creative
powerhouse with an incredible ability to write ideas that travel, a deep respect for how traditional craft can evolve in a social-first world, and an empathetic, inspiring leader who gets the very
best out of people.
The agency’s brand work includes Guinness, Ford, Barclays and Asda.
