Aishwarya Rai stunned in a pink 3D gown
For her second appearance at Cannes, Aishwarya Rai donned a blush-pink gown featuring a strapless, corseted bodice. Designed by Sophie Couture, the gown featured Fortuny pleating and Swarovski-crystal floral 3D embellishments. The attire also featured a sheer, flowy cape. With side-parted hair and subtle makeup comprising blushed cheeks and pink lips, the diva completed her look.

While Aishwarya made heads turn once again, it was her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, who stole the limelight from her mommy. As Aaradhya accompanies her mother to Cannes every time, this time it was a bit different. Aaradhya grabbed attention as the 14-year-old made her red-carpet debut in a red satin gown with a shimmering cape. Just like her mommy, Aaradhya let her wavy hair loose in a side-parted style. The mother-daughter duo walked hand in hand and posed at the red carpet.
As soon as Aaradhya accompanied her mom, Aishwarya and posed for the papas, her confidence was unmatchable. Aaradhya carried the same poise as her mommy and gracefully posed for the paps. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan donned a royal blue couture gown called ‘Luminara’
For her first appearance at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya chose designer Amit Aggarwal. To make the Bollywood diva’s appearance stand out, Amit designed ‘Luminara’, a customised gown centred around the idea of light in motion. The outfit not only explored the idea of light as mere illumination but also as energy, movement, and force.
Amit used his signature embroidery style, called Crystal Vein, to design the gown. Thousands of crystal decorations were carefully handcrafted over 1,500 hours to create glowing, vein-like patterns across the dress. Amit also shared his vision while collaborating with stylist Mohit Rai and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He said:
“Aishwarya has always approached Cannes with a strong sense of individuality and evolution. With Luminara, Mohit and I wanted to create something that felt less like a garment and more like an energy field around her. The piece explores the idea of light as strength, movement, and transformation; while honouring the extraordinary radiance she has carried through decades on the global stage.”
