China Approves 6GHz Band Trials for 6G Technology Research Future Telecom Network Development

Taking a big step towards 6G telecom technology, China has approved the trial use of 6GHz frequency band. China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has officially announced this. According to the government, this spectrum will be used for research and initial testing in selected areas. The purpose of these trials is to test the new technology, performance and network capabilities related to 6G network.

This trial spectrum has been given to IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group, which coordinates work related to 6G research and development in China. government’s have to say That through these trials, technical verification will be done as per the future communication standards set by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

According to China, starting testing in the 6GHz band is an important part of the development of next generation mobile technology. This will give companies and research institutes an opportunity to work on new transmission technology, network architecture and 6G based application scenarios. The government says that this step will help in accelerating 6G research and strengthening preparation for future international standards.
