Leo Chicago just debuted the latest
iteration of “It’s an Aldi Thing” platform.
This round, the focus is a cowboy, who explains all the special features of Aldi’s supermarket, including savings, in two 30-second spots:
“Bread Sage” and “Cart Coral Cowboy.”
Ads run in TV, CTV, online video and social.
“Once you understand why Aldi is unique, its value becomes obvious. This
work uses a confident cowboy as a knowledge guide who is proud to show shoppers that ‘Aldi things’ aren’t differences to question, but rather signs of a better shopping
experience,” said Katherine Sodeika, Aldi marketing director.
The agency is part of Publicis Groupe. Its client work includes Miller Lite, Tillamook, Kelloggs and Southwest.
Aldi is owned by the German Albrecht family, which is split into two companies. Aldi Süd operates Aldi stories in the U.S. Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe’s in the U.S.
