As mentioned, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office revealed the details about the arrest. They said on a Facebook post that JaYy Wick is facing a charge of attempted first-degree murder. The teenager was allegedly shot by Wick multiple times on April 25, 2026. The victim suffered severe injuries as a result of the same. Although the identity of the teenager has not been made official, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office said that the individual was 18 years old. The sheriff’s office confirmed that an investigation has been launched. Sheriff Tommy Ford also reacted to the incident by saying:
“We will not tolerate this kind of violent behavior in Bay County. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are. If you come to Bay County to commit these crimes, we will find you and hold you accountable.”

The shooting incident reportedly happened at Beach Access 83. The authorities also discovered a firearm with JaYy Wick when he was arrested. The investigators were able to find Wick after tracking him through the state lines to Atlanta.

The shooting incident allegedly happened on April 25, 2026, at 11 p.m. The victim was reportedly discovered by the authorities with injuries. Eyewitnesses allegedly told the investigators that JaYy Wick was the person involved in the incident. Wick left the spot after firing shots at the individual for a performance at the Vibez Night Club in Panama City. The authorities managed to acquire an arrest warrant and started investigating the matter on May 4, 2026, after arriving in Atlanta. A security guard also told the investigators that he shifted the victim close to the pavement from the incident spot after hearing the gunfire.

The motive behind the incident remains unknown for now. Bay County Sheriff’s Office said in their Facebook post that JaYy Wick was arrested with assistance from the Panama City Beach Police alongside the US Marshals Service, Atlanta Police, and Clayton Police. The witnesses are still being interviewed. Fox 5 stated that JaYy Wick is supposed to be taken to Florida, and he might face a sentence of 25 years or life imprisonment.
