The starting price of Asus Chromebook CX14 in India has been kept at Rs 18,990, which is for the TN (Twisted Nematic) LCD screen variant. Its IPS display version will be available for Rs 20,990. This laptop is currently available on Flipkart and will soon go on sale on Amazon also. Under the launch offer, buyers will also get 100GB of Google Cloud storage for free, which reduces the tension of digital storage to a great extent.
This Chromebook from Asus has a 14-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, which comes with TN or IPS panel option. Talking about brightness, it goes up to 300 nits and covers 45% of the NTSC color gamut.
Asus has provided an Intel Celeron N4500 processor in this Chromebook, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC storage. The company has also added Titan C security chip in it, which protects against unauthorized access and cyber threats. Not only this, this laptop comes with US MIL-STD-810H military grade certification, which makes its durability even better.
Talking about the keyboard, it has a full size Chiclet keyboard which has a key travel of 1.35mm, which can make typing a little more comfortable. For connectivity, there are latest options like Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Ports include USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (with DisplayPort support), HDMI 1.4, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Kensington Lock.
The weight of the laptop is 1.39 kg and its thickness is 17mm. Dual 2W speakers, dual microphones and Google Assistant support are included. The work of powering it is done by a 42Wh battery. USB Type-C adapter is available with the laptop.
