Recently, the New York Post revealed that Phil Mickelson retained a defamation attorney, Tom Clare. According to Tom, the video evidence in this claim of sexual misconduct contradicts what has been claimed and circulated. According to the attorney, a great deal of misinformation has been circulated, and while currently Phil Mickelson’s focus is on his family’s health matter, he retained defamation counsel. According to Tom Clare, Phil Mickelson will take action against those publications and individuals who have been circulating the same rumours. The attorney’s exact words were:
“There is a great deal of misinformation circulating and, while Phil’s full attention is devoted to a private family health matter, he has retained defamation counsel and is determined to hold accountable any publication or individual trafficking in speculation or false rumor.”

Earlier, reports have claimed that the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office investigated the alleged sexual assault, and according to the recent report by NYP, sources of Law Enforcement recently spoke to The California Post and revealed that no evidence could be located to support the potential allegation of sexual assault. On the other hand, a SDCSO spokesperson revealed that they haven’t received any report of the sexual assault incident at the club and haven’t located any evidence to show that any assault has taken place. If any further information and evidence are provided, the Shrieff’s office will reportedly run a thorough investigation. According to the spokesperson:
“The Sheriff’s Office would absolutely investigate further if provided additional evidence or information. We encourage anyone with information regarding an incident such as this to reach out to the Sheriff’s Office.”

It was reported through Golf Digest that Phil Mickelson is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club near San Diego, with which he has been associated. The same report claimed that this decision was made by the club, after an employee reported a nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact with her by Phil Mickelson. Reportedly, that female employee rejected the advances and then reported the same to her supervisor, and after an alleged investigation, a decision was taken.
Reportedly, Phil Mickelson was asked to leave the premises while he was in the middle of a golf round, and later, it was announced through an alleged statement by the club that he was no longer a member of the club. Speaking of his personal life, Phil has been married to Amy Mickelson since 1996, and the couple has three kids. The duo crossed paths in 1992, and 4 years later, they got married.
