Rahul Dravidhas been named in the
India Under-19s one-day squad for the tour of Sri Lanka next month. The full tour includes three one-day matches and two four-day games.
Anvay is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper who has played
one match for India B Under-19sagainst Afghanistan Under-19s, as part of a one-day tri-series at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru in November 2025. He made a first-ball duck in the match and took two catches behind the stumps.
Anvay recently led Karnataka’s Under-19 side to the quarter-finals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. He scored 220 runs in the tournament – the second-most for his side – averaging 55.00 across six innings.
The two Under-19 sides picked for the upcoming tour will be led by Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh, with Uttarakhand top-order batter.
Lakshya Raichandani named as his deputy. Raichandani, also 17, has already made his first-class debut and scored three half-centuries in five innings in the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season.
The tour will start with three one-dayers, on July, 4, 6 and 9, all in Hambantota, starting at 10am local time. The first four-day game will be played from July 13 to 16 in Galle and the second from July 20 to 23 in Colombo.
Dravid’s elder son,
Samit Dravidwho is 20, was also picked for the India Under-19s to play against Australia Under-19s in 2024, but was sidelined with a knee injury. Samit had earned the Under-19 call-up after featuring in Karnataka’s T20 league, the Maharaja T20 Trophy.
