Nearly a year after Hulk Hogan’s sudden death, authorities have officially closed the investigation into his death. It comes months after the WWE legend’s daughter, Brooke Hogan, publicly admitted that some aspects of her father’s death were weird. In turn, she raised questions about his medical condition. But now a newly released report has given a definitive answer to the claim.
Was Hulk Hogan’s death ‘weird’?
According to reports from the Clearwater Police Department in Florida, Hulk Hogan’s death has been officially cleared as a natural death. The final result was reached after the investigators did an extensive review of his medical records, witness statements, surveillance footage, and other evidence related to the WWE icon’s final days. The 72-page report reportedly found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing or foul play. In turn, the investigators ruled out doubts. They stated that the careful examination of the available information concluded that there was no evidence to suggest that Hulk died from anything other than natural causes.

At the same time, the police department thanked Hulk’s family, including his widow, Sky Daily; daughter, Brooke Hogan; son, Nick Hogan; and family attorney Kevin Hayslett, who cooperated with them throughout the investigation. The findings also bring an end to months of doubts about Hulk’s death. The wrestling legend, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, died on July 24, 2025.

He reportedly died after collapsing at his Florida home. Later, he was taken to the hospital. However, he was still pronounced dead. For those unaware, the questions around Hulk’s death began after his death. According to TMZ, the occupational therapist who was present during the emergency suggested that Hulk might be a victim of medical malpractice.

The therapist allegedly claimed that a new surgery might have damaged his phrenic nerve. It, in turn, might have played a major role in causing him breathing issues. Some reports also claimed that Hulk had suddenly stopped breathing. At the same time, he did not face the classic symptoms related to a heart attack. However, later in an interview, the therapist clarified that he was not a neurosurgeon and had only worked with Hulk for some time. At the end, investigators found no evidence to support the claim of malpractice.

Brooke Hogan claimed her father, Hulk Hogan’s, death was ‘weird’
Brooke Hogan had earlier expressed concerns about the situations around her father’s death. During a public interview in August 2025, she raised questions about Hulk’s leukemia diagnosis and admitted that some things did not add up. She said, “We don’t have cancer that runs in our family. It seems weird.” However, in a later social media post, she clarified that she was not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. But, simply wanting some answers reacted to Hulk’s complicated medical history.

Brooke claimed that she had the right to raise questions if she was not satisfied with the answer. The family’s concerns were serious enough that, later in October 2025, a petition was reportedly filed seeking additional time to investigate possible medical malpractice claims. However, the newly released reports appear to have ended those questions, officially concluding that Hulk died from natural causes. Later, an autopsy after his death found that he suffered an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. In fact, even the medical records showed that he had been living with atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
