Chrissy Teigen arrived in style for the American Music Awards 2026. Chrissy arrived in a gorgeous floor-length gown with beaded detailing. She teamed it with golden heels. Gorgeous makeup with pumped lip and bob hairstyle accentuated her look. On the other hand, John Legend looked handsome in a tan trench coat and a matching high-waist pair of trousers.
However, while the couple was busy posing for the photographers, Chrissy Teigen faced an awkward moment. Chrissy’s floor-length beaded gown got caught in her heels, forcing her to pause, and it seemed she might fall. However, her husband, John, quickly came to her rescue. Showing off his gentlemanly antics, John bent down to help untangle Chrissy’s outfit. However, a few beads from Chrissy’s dress spilt on the carpet, ruining her outfit. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend met in 2006 for a music video, Stereo. The two found an instant connection. However, the couple never wanted to fall in love and wanted to keep it casual, but Cupid struck them with the love arrow. After a few years of dating, they got married in 2013. They had two different ceremonies.
In March 2021, John Legen shared a video message with People, and revealed how fortunate he is to spend his life with Chrissy. The singer still remembers the two met and how they have built the beautiful family of six as they are parenting their four children. He was quoted as saying:
“I’m so fortunate that we got to spend some time together on that day, September 13, 2006. We’re so lucky to have each other. We have built a really wonderful family that I’m so proud of. I’m so honored that I get to parent with you and see the way you are with our children … see how creative and inspired and inspiring that you are as a mother. We’ve been through so much joy and some pain together. We’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together. I wouldn’t want to go through any of this with anybody more than I’d want to go through it with you.”
Talking about their two wedding ceremony, the couple first got married at an NYC courthouse a few days before the main wedding. And the witness was model Irina Shayk. Chrissy once told E! News that they got married after being part of a couple of Fashion Shows at Vera Wang. She revealed that they realised that their Italian wedding in Lake Como won’t be recognised unless they had a real ceremony in New York City. She said:
“We actually got married after going to a couple Fashion Week shows at Vera Wang, ironically who actually did my dress, but we got married at the courthouse right after. We are dumb and didn’t realize that our Italian wedding would not be recognized unless we had a real ceremony in New York City.”
