The death of 33-year-old Indian woman, Twisha Sharma, has shaken the nation. She was a Noida-based professional and former model, found dead on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills. Her death, which was initially suspected as suicide, has triggered intense reactions. Twisha’s family contested the suicide claims and alleged severe dowry harassment and murder. Now, the case has taken a new turn with details of Twisha’s final outing plans with her husband surfacing. The information raised eyebrows as to what might have led her to her death, leaving her with unfulfilled plans.

Twisha Sharma was supposed to take a trip with her husband to Bangalore

During police interrogation regarding the mysterious death of Twisha Sharma, her husband, Bhopal-based lawyer, Samarth Singh was questioned regarding their final days. According to NDTV, he claimed that he booked their flight tickets to Bengaluru for April 24, 2026. The planned trip emerged as a key detail in the ongoing investigation into Twisha’s demise. Samarth claimed that Twisha was initially ready to accompany him on the trip; however, she had a sudden change of heart, and the trip never happened.

Why did Twisha Sharma allegedly cancel her trip plans with Samarth Singh?

According to NDTV, Samarth Singh claimed that Twisha suddenly refused to go to Bengaluru and insisted on going to Ajmer to see her brother instead. The change of mind allegedly occurred a week before the trip was supposed to take place. The reason for the plan cancellation is that she found out on April 17, 2026 that she was pregnant. Samarth alleged that he saw a drastic change in Twisha’s behaviour after knowing that she was expecting. Samarth’s account hints that Twisha was probably anxious about the pregnancy or was stressed about something else.

An official confirmed Twisha’s Ajmer visit plans and stated:

“She was scheduled to travel to Ajmer on May 15, where her brother, Major Harshit Sharma, is posted. We are examining why she took such an extreme step despite having travel plans.”

“So, institutional bias, whether from the judiciary, the police, or AIIMS, has been addressed. The Supreme Court has taken suo moto cognizance of all these matters, and there’s a hearing on Monday, in which Siddharth Luthra is appearing. We hope that whatever guidelines are issued after this, the investigation will be fair.”
