Samarth Singh tried to save Twisha Sharma, claims his lawyer

On May 24, 2026, Twisha’s last rites were performed in Bhopal after 12 days of her untimely demise. Her family members couldn’t hold back tears and looked devastated as they bid farewell to her. It was Twisha’s brother, Major Harshit, who lit the funeral pyre. Amid this, Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh’s advocate, Gyanendra Sharma, told PTI that the accused tried to save his wife, Twisha and took her to the hospital. Twisha Sharma was forced to lose 15 kgs before pregnancy

Twisha Sharma, who tied the knot with Samarth Singh in December 2025, became pregnant in April 2026. According to Twisha’s family, the biggest point of friction between the former Miss Pune and her in-laws began in April 2026, after she became pregnant. Twisha’s family alleged that her husband, Samarth and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, questioned her character and also accused her of carrying someone else’s child. They alleged that Twisha’s in-laws forced her to undergo an abortion in the first week of May 2026.

However, retired judge and Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala, denied the allegations and said that it was Twisha who insisted on the abortion, saying that she did not want children. Twisha’s father, Navnidhi Sharma, told BBC Hindi that the last time they spoke to her was on May 12, 2026, the night of her death. The former actress and model was talking to her mother when suddenly the line dropped. Their calls went unanswered for the next 20 minutes, and later Giribala picked up their phone and informed them that Twisha was no more.

However, Twisha’s friend, Manika, shared an untold story about Twisha’s pregnancy. During a conversation with Barkha Dutt, Manika revealed that Twisha was not given proper food. She highlighted that Twisha’s in-laws forced her to lose some weight so that she could carry a baby. In just a few months, the former actress and model had lost 15 kgs. Manika was quoted as saying:

“Food not given. What nonsense. Are we in 2026? She was not given proper food. She was forced to lose some weight so that she could carry a baby. She lost 15 kgs in just a few months. Yeah, she was denied proper food. Whenever she used to go into the kitchen, there was less food for her. They would tell her to go eat, but whenever she used to go into the kitchen and check, there was limited food kept for her.”
