Samsung Galaxy Wide Fold May Feature 7.6-Inch Display, Apple

South Korean handset maker Samsung is preparing to launch a new foldable smartphone. It can be called Samsung Galaxy Wide Fold. The design of this smartphone can be like a tablet. A larger inner display can be found in it. American devices maker Apple may enter the market of foldable smartphones this year. Before this, Samsung is strengthening its portfolio of foldable smartphones.

An article on China’s microblogging platform Weibo Post Tipster Digital Chat Station has reported that Samsung’s wide foldable smartphone may have a 7.6-inch main display. When unfolded, it will be slightly smaller than the display of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has an 8-inch inner display and a 6.5-inch cover display. Earlier, some leaks had said that the upcoming foldable smartphone may have a shorter and wider design. It may have a 4:3 aspect ratio like a tablet. With this, the cover display of this smartphone will be more convenient for typing. By unfolding it, one can get a better experience of reading and watching videos.

Samsung Galaxy Wide Fold can be provided with a dual-cell battery with a capacity of about 4,800 mAh. This smart fone Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 can be used as processor. Recently this smartphone was listed on IMEI. This indicated the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Wide Fold in the international market. This smartphone can be launched with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8. Samsung Galaxy Wide Fold may compete with Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone.

The user interface of the iPhone Fold can be similar to that of the iPad when unfolded. On opening this smartphone, its large display will allow two apps to run side by side simultaneously. In current iPhones, users cannot run two apps simultaneously on the display. The upcoming iPhone Fold may have app sliders on the left side of the screen. This will be a similar layout to many iPad applications. The foldable iPhone may have a new generation foldable display design. This will be different from existing foldable smartphones.
