It happened after some internet users began claiming that she has been using a secret social media handle to turn the internet narrative in her favour. The allegations quickly went viral on TikTok, Threads, and X, while screenshots of the fan theories sparked a new debate online. Although Cierra denied the claims, it has once again ignited criticism of her already troubled public image.
Cierra Ortega’s alleged burner account goes viral
Cierra Ortega has once again found herself at the centre of criticism after fans allegedly discovered her secret burner account linked to her social media activity. In turn, the reality star is now being accused of using the account to defend herself. At the same time, some internet users accused her of using the account to allegedly target fellow islanders from the show. According to multiple viral posts shared by fans, the alleged burner account is operated under the handle “Katty92p”. In fact, it reportedly followed only one public account, Cierra’s own page.
Social media users also claimed that internet searches for the profile returned results for Cierra. They believe it is because the same email address is allegedly linked to both accounts. Soon, the update went viral across social media, and some internet users called her out for targeting fellow islanders, Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria. Some screenshots shared by fans showed the alleged burner account aggressively replying to users discussing the post-show drama. One user wrote, “Like, even if that wasn’t you, you being the only follower does not make it any better.” Another internet user penned:
“This is insane. No way this keeps happening accidentally.”
Although internet users believed the accusations, some fans argued that obsessive fan groups of other contestants were unfairly targeting Cierra. In fact, Cierra herself replied to the growing backlash with a now-viral comment. She penned, “If I wanted an account to be secret, why would I publicly follow?” At the same time, she added that she had not used the app in years. Instead, she was “packing for Europe”.
