
Actress Ann Robinson passed away months ago on September 26, 2025. However, the news was recently confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter by Ann’s granddaughter, Tori Bravo. The circumstances leading to her death have not been revealed, alongside the reasons behind keeping her death a secret.
While Ann was a part of many films and TV shows in her career, she was mostly known for playing the lead in The War of the Worlds, released in 1953. She later appeared in the 2005 film adaptation of the novel by H.G. Wells. Ann was also featured in other projects like Cheyenne, Imitation of Life, Rawhide, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Ann Robinson’s first marriage with well-known matador, Jaime Bravo. The former was pursuing her successful career when she decided to tie the knot. Notably, the marriage stayed out of the spotlight for all these years. This is the reason why detailed information on their first meeting and everything else remains a mystery until today.

Ann Robinson decided to take a break from acting when she left for Mexico in 1957. Ann and Jaime eventually exchanged vows in the same year and had two children – Jaime Jr. and Estefan. Jaime Jr. is active as a director at ABC Sports and ESPN. But nothing is known about Estefan so far. While Ann later continued her career in the entertainment industry, she later opened up on how the marriage impacted her image in Hollywood. Robinson once appeared for an interview with Tom Weaver for his book, Attack of the Monster Movie Makers, opening up on the aftermath of her decision to elope and tie the knot, and said:
“When I got back home, Hollywood had passed me by. I just ruined it, I blew it.”

Ann and Jaime’s marriage did not last for more than ten years. In 1967, the pair divorced, and three years later, Jaime lost his life in an accident in 1970. Robinson started living in Los Angeles after she tied the knot with her second husband, Joseph Valdez. Ann and Joseph got married in 1987 and divorced in 2017. Valdez was pursuing a career in real estate and as a business manager.

Although Ann Robinson had a successful journey as an actress, she was active in a different field as a stunt performer. She gained recognition for her stunts before she stepped into films and television. Ann initially enrolled at the Hollywood High School and later joined the Sacred Heart Academy in La Flintridge. Ann Robinson said in her interview with Tom Weaver that she had to lie to get a job. Ann revealed that she lied about her experience and even questioned herself a few times about the field where she was entering.

Ann did some stunts in films like Black Midnight, Frenchie, and A Place in the Sun. But in her long list of work as a stunt performer, Ann was known for being a double for June Havoc in The Story of Molly X in 1949. Notably, Robinson had to perform a sequence that used a barbed-wire fence. She was a part of multiple TV shows such as The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, 77 Sunset Strip, and more.
