OnePlus 15 Price Hike: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 7300mAh Battery

Tech company OnePlus has increased the prices of its flagship smartphone OnePlus 15. The variant of this phone with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage will now cost Rs 5,000 and the model with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage will be costlier by Rs 6,000.

The company has increased the price of the phone within about 6 months of its launch. The new prices have been implemented on the company’s official website, Amazon and offline mode. OnePlus 15 is the first phone in India to feature the DetailMax Image Engine to enhance photo quality.

The phone comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen-5 processor. Apart from this, many industry first features have been provided in the phone, which include 7300mAh battery with 120W charging and 16GB RAM.

First phone in India with processor and Detailmax image engine

DetailMax Image Engine: This is OnePlus’s first in-house designed computational imaging software, which captures and processes more data in the smartphone camera using advanced algorithms and powerful processors. It presents photos in a completely real and clear manner, without over-beautification or distortion, so that details remain sharp even when zoomed. It offers HDR optimization and AI-powered detail boost with features like Clear Night Engine in low-light, Clear Burst for fast-moving subjects, which makes photos look natural and with depth.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Processor: This is an octa-core mobile CPU built on 3 nanometer architecture, which can run at a clock speed of up to 4.6GHz. After OnePlus 15, Realme GT 8 Pro and IQ 15 phones will also be launched in India with the same chipset.

Design: Micro Arc Oxidation Treatment with three color options

OnePlus 15 is built on an aluminum frame, which uses the industry’s first micro arc oxidation treatment. The company claims that it is 3.4 times tougher than raw aluminum and 1.5 times stronger than titanium.

The mobile has got IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating, which keeps the phone safe from dust and water as well as spilling liquids like tea or oil. The phone comes with Infinity Black Ultra Violet and Sand Storm color options.

The design of OnePlus 15 is absolutely simple, slim, comfortable and has a premium feel. There are power and volume buttons on the right, IR blaster and speaker on top, customizable Plus key on the left, SIM tray, mic, USB-C charging port and speaker at the bottom.

The OnePlus logo on the back panel is in the centre, which was earlier slightly higher. The camera bump is very small, it houses three cameras and a flash. There are thin and equal bezels of 1.15mm all around the screen. There is a new touch of micro arc oxidation on the middle frame, which makes it more strong and stylish.

Display: OnePlus 15 has a 6.78-inch QHD+ display with 2772 x 1272 pixels resolution. That means, photos and videos look very clear and sharp. This screen is a 1.5K display with LTPO OLED technology, which works at 120Hz refresh rate in normal use.

This makes scrolling and animations look smoother, but while playing games, it can provide speeds up to 165Hz, making gaming even faster. To further improve the quality of the screen, it has 450PPI (pixel density), which makes small details crisp.

The peak brightness of the display is 1800 nits, which means the screen will be clearly visible even in sunlight. For fingerprint unlock, there is an ultrasound fingerprint sensor inside the screen, which works fast and safely. Overall, this display is perfect for gaming, movies and everyday work.

Camera: For photography, a triple rear camera setup has been provided on the back panel of OnePlus 15. It has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main sensor, which is good for everyday clear and detailed photos. The second is a 50 megapixel telephoto S5KJN5 lens, which zooms in on distant objects and takes sharp photos without losing quality.

The third is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide OV50D sensor, which covers a wider area. Perfect for group photos, landscape or architecture shots. At the same time, for selfie and video calling, 32 megapixel Sony IMX709 front camera is supported, which gives sharp selfies and smooth videos.

Performance: OnePlus 15 is powered by Qualcomm’s super fast Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which is made with 3 nanometer advanced technology. This chip can run at a high speed of up to 4.6GHz, which means that apps in the phone will open quickly, multitasking will run without stopping and everything will look smooth. For graphics, it has Adreno 840 GPU, which makes gaming, video editing or high-quality graphics tasks easier.

360 Cryo-Velocity cooling system has been provided to prevent the phone from overheating while doing heavy gaming or high performance tasks. This system keeps the entire phone cool by covering it 360 degrees, so that the performance does not drop. Talking about memory and storage, it supports LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM, which makes multitasking faster.

UFS 4.1 storage technology is provided in the phone, which loads files, apps and games at the speed of a blink. Overall, this phone is best-in-class in terms of performance – perfect for gamers and power users.

Battery and Charger: OnePlus 15 has a 7300mAh battery for power backup. In testing, it has achieved the PC Mark battery benchmark score of 17 hours, 06 minutes. The company claims that the battery health will remain more than 80% for 4 years. To charge it, the smartphone has been provided with 120W SuperVOOC wired and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging technology.

Other: OnePlus 15 has Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC along with WiFi 7 and dedicated Wi-Fi chip. The company has given 16 5G bands in the phone, which will work fast on Jio, Airtel and VI networks. There are also features like USB 3.2 Gen 1, 3 mics with noise cancellation and infrared remote control.
