While earlier reports speculated about foul play at the end of Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, authorities gave a clean chit to all the Guthrie family members.

As per a self-styled investigator, Jonathan Lee Riches, who has been following Nancy Guthrie’s case, went on to earlier claim that her daughter, Annie Guthrie and Tomasso Ciono have not been seen for over a week, and their cars were also not present. However, he didn’t give any proof of his claim. Taking to his X account, Jonathan, who goes by ‘JLR’, claimed that the Sheriff have cleared Annie and Tommaso, and they can go anywhere, and they have left their home completely. He stated that their home is treated like a crime scene. He wrote:
“The Sheriff cleared Annie & Tommaso, so they are free to go. They totally left their home. Haven’t been there in over a week. Car gone. Same home authorities treated like a crime scene.”
JLR has been making shocking claims about the missing case of Nancy Guthrie. On the other hand, authorities have officially only named Nancy Guthrie’s home as the crime scene, as they had recovered DNA evidence from there. Meanwhile, nothing was said about Annie and Tommaso’s home. For the unversed, Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother was abducted from her Catalina Foothills home near Tucson, Arizona, before February 1, 2026.
Reportedly, the last people to see her were her daughter, Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Ciano, who reportedly dropped her off at home after the three had dinner. Soon, Annie and Tommaso came under the radar, and people speculated that the two were the ones behind Nancy’s disappearance. However, the police gave them a clean chit and stated that none of the Guthrie family members is a suspect in the case.

On the other hand, a former FBI agent, Jennifer Coffindaffer, claimed that Annie and Tommaso might have thought of taking some time off from the eyes of the media and hence they had left the place as they were already dealing with big emotions due to Nancy Guthrie’s sudden disappearance.

He was the one who stated that Annie had asked her mother for a loan sometime before her disappearance. He even claimed that this fact was revealed to him by one of the close family members of the Guthries. However, he didn’t share more about the revelation.
