Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered another injury blow in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) as all-rounder Jamie Overton has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a right thigh injury.
South Africa’s Dian Forrester will join CSK for INR 75 lakh as a replacement for Overton.
Forrester, who is also an all-rounder, made his debut in March 2026 against New Zealand and has featured in five international games, scoring 83 runs.
CSK announced Wednesday night that Overton returned to the United Kingdom for further assessment and management for his thigh injury.
Overton has been one of the standout performers for the side this season, making an impact with both bat and ball.
Overton has become the latest casualty in what has been an injury-riddled campaign for the five-time champion.
