Reality TV personality, Taylor Frankie Paul, who rose to fame with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, is currently going through a tough phase. For the unversed, Taylor is currently involved in a legal battle with her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen for the custody of their child- a son named Ever True. Amid that, a report claimed that the reality TV personality has been granted to spend nearly 12 hours with her son.

Mother’s Day is one of the most special days for a child and their mom. However, even though it looked like Taylor Frankie Paul might have a difficult time, the court had different plans. Well, a while ago, a report by TMZ claimed that the court has granted Taylor permission to spend nearly 12 hours with her son, amid the legal battle. For the unversed, Mother’s Day is May 10, 2026. Taylor and her son, Ever True will get time from 9 a.m. to around 8:30 p.m.
Taylor Frankie Paul was not given the custody of her son
On April 7, 2026, a court proceeding took place, during which the court granted the custody of their son, Ever True, to Dakota Mortensen. However, Taylor was allowed to spend some time with Ever. A few weeks ago, Taylor had a conversation with People Magazine, during which she explained that her ex, Dakota might be portraying her as an abusive mother. She had shared:
“For the most part, our co-parenting dynamic has functioned adequately. Recently, however, in an effort to sabotage my career, Dakota filed a protective order against me on March 19, 2026. I will respond to his allegations in a separate declaration before the hearing on April 30, 2026 before Commissioner Minas. Suffice it to say, I completely reject Dakota’s characterizations of my conduct and his attempts to paint me as an abusive mother and co-parent. The evidence will show the Court that Dakota has been the primary aggressor and has been violent and abusive toward me.”
Dakota Mortensen reveals reason behind taking so much time to file a legal complaint
A few days ago, Dakota Mortensen’s attorney revealed the reason behind taking so much time to file a complaint against his ex, Taylor Frankie Paul. Reportedly, he was forced to reconcile with Taylor after every fight for the sake of either of their child or the relationship. Explaining the same, he has shared:
“Unfortunately, and I don’t get to say this very often with male victims, but he’s a domestic violence victim, your Honor. He is coerced either through romantic interest or interests involving his son and with very charismatic tests, and very charismatic personality to come back and rejoin this romantic relationship until it blows up, again.”

Despite issues, in 2023, Taylor announced her pregnancy with Dakota’s child. The next year, in 2024, they welcomed a son, Ever True. After the birth, it looked like the issues between Taylor and Dakota started to resolve. However, things took a U-turn, when a video clip of them having a physical fight went viral. It is worth mentioning that in 2023, Taylor was arrested due to a fight.
