Joni Lamb, the longtime president and co-founder of Daystar Television Network passed away at the age of 65. The official cause of Joni Lamb’s death has not been revealed. However, it was being stated that Joni Lamb passed away after battling a serious health condition, which she chose to keep private.
Reportedly, her health issues worsened with the development of back pain in recent times. Joni Lamb’s passing was confirmed through a statement from Daystar, and it was her daughter-in-law, Suzy Lamb, who took to her social media handle and shared a note, reacting to the same. While she didn’t directly address the incident, she wrote that she had witnessed trembling hands, while adding that people should fear God.

Her statement instantly grabbed the attention. Well, along with it, the past controversy around them also resurfaced. There was a time when Joni Lamb’s daughter-in-law, Suzy raised serious allegations against her. It happened during the time when Joni’s son, Jonathan, was fired from his position at Daystar. Jonathan and Suzy made some shocking claims, adding that their then 5-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by a family member, who has been referred to as ‘Pete’ in various interviews.
Reportedly, when Jonathan and Suzy told Joni and Marcus Lamb about the same, they asked Suzy and Jonathan not to go to the police, and bring the girl to her, so that Joni could talk to her. However, as per Suzi, Joni never talked to her child about the same topic.
Despite Joni reportedly asking Jonathan and Suzy to keep things within themselves, they went public with the same. There have been several allegations that were made against Joni and Marcus by Suzy and Jonathan. One of such allegations was that Suzy revealed that she herself was sexually assaulted in 2017 by an unlicensed chiropractor her in-laws had hired, as shared by The Roys Reports, and was asked not to make it public.

It was stated that the incident, involving the child, took place back in 2021, in a beachhouse that Daystar rented for its annual executive retreat in Miramar Beach, Florida. After the allegations were made and shared by TRR, Pete’s attorney denied all the claims. Jonathan and Suzy reported the case to police, however, as their daughter wouldn’t speak, the matter was closed. While the case was reopened later, no charges were filed due to a lack of evidence, as reported. When asked about the incident by Joni, she reportedly said to TRR, ‘I don’t know what happened there’. To which, Jonathan replied:
“She doesn’t remember one thing. She doesn’t even remember having that conversation. It’s like it never happened.”
Joni Lamb also reportedly spoke on the matter and denied all the allegations of covering up the sexual assault on her granddaughter. Referring to TRR, she reportedly said that the article, where the allegations were made, was written by a ‘low-level blogger’ who knew nothing and didn’t have the knowledge about the other side of the story, with the intention to ruin her family. She also added that she and her family members worked through the misunderstandings. She could be quoted as saying:
“This is a narrative that was written by some low-level blogger who knows nothing, never heard the other side of the story, and is doing nothing but trying to destroy my family. We worked through that misunderstanding, and Jonathan and Suzy ended up apologizing, and we prayed together. I mean, and it was a done deal. So the timing of this being pulled up again out of the ashes when there’s no validity to it just blew my mind.”
It was in late 2024 that Jonathan Lamb was fired from Daystar. During that time, Joni’s second marriage became a point for people to talk about. However, it was revealed that Jonathan was fired after a 15-month performance review. As per Joni, during the review, Jonathan failed to satisfy a performance improvement plan. She also mentioned that her son took part in a ‘smear campaign’, and added that he refused to “participate in a formal mediation to resolve grievances in a biblical and professional manner.” Jonathan was also said to have blackmailed Daystar for naming him the President, even when Marcus Lamb announced before his death in 2021, that the position would only go to her.
Suzy Lamb’s reaction to her MIL’s passing
Suzy Lamb’s comment on Joni Lamb’s passing has been going viral. In one of the tweets, she asked people to ‘fear the God’ while stating that she has ‘trembling’ hands. On the other hand, Suzy, in a comment to Blaise Forest, revealed that they were not informed about the death of the Daystar president. She also stated that they are down the road only but were not asked to say goodbye. To mention, there was no report about reconciliation between Jonathan and his mom before his passing. Stating that they forgive them, Suzy added:
“Thank you, we weren’t informed of anything. We were down the road, but weren’t given a call to say goodbye. We forgive them. Thank you for praying for Jonathan.”
