Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko’s love story dates back to 2008, when they first met at a party. The former was romantically linked to Milo Ventimiglia during that period, and the duo separated in 2009. The pair managed to keep the romance away from the limelight since the time they began dating in 2007. Shortly after the split, Hayden and Wladimir started dating in 2009. However, the relationship was not officially announced through any platform.

In a separate statement, Wladimir recalled the time he and Hayden spent together, saying that it is a tough job to manage a relationship between two different places. Wladimir continued by saying:
“I have a lot of respect for Hayden as a person and as a friend, and I believe we’ll keep our friendship even after the separation.”

The reports started going viral when Hayden was spotted wearing something, which was believed to be a ring. Notably, the singer was questioned about the same when she appeared on Live! With Kelly and Michael in 2013. Kelly Ripa asked Hayden at one point if she was engaged, and the latter confirmed the same.

In an interview with Brides magazine in 2014, Hayden Panettiere recalled how Wladimir Klitschko popped the question. Although she did not disclose a lot of details, Hayden said that it was “simple and from the heart.” Hayden also opened up on her wedding plans by saying:
“I have always dreamed of a wedding day! Not over the top or crazy, but yeah, I’ve always thought about it. It’s one of those things you have to just cross your fingers and hope everything will go smooth. You will plan and plan and at the end of day you just have to kick back and see what happens.”

Back in June 2014, a report by PEOPLE confirmed that Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko were expecting a child. The duo did not document the entire journey through social media posts. They had a daughter named Kaya Evdokia in December 2014. PEOPLE also obtained some snaps of the child, where the parents were spotted spending some time with the baby. Around a month before the pregnancy news went viral, Hayden and Vladimir cancelled their wedding plans since the latter wanted the situation in Ukraine to get normal. While speaking to Parade magazine, Hayden said:
“Everything that’s happening in Ukraine definitely put a hold on things. But we have time.”

Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko started trending in 2016 when reports related to issues in their relationship went viral. The rumour started when Hayden appeared without the engagement ring. The actress later clarified that such things should not be considered as the end of a relationship. While the duo attended an event in 2016, Hayden’s mother, Lesley Vogel, revealed in an interview with RadarOnline in 2018 that the relationship was over.

The latest development arrived after Hayden appeared with Brian Hickerson at a restaurant in Los Angeles. During her conversation with RadarOnline, Hayden said that her daughter’s life was changing and continued:
“She needs to take a little bit of break and make some decisions on her own of what she wants to do. So I think she is in a very good place.”

Following his separation from Hayden Panettiere, Wladimir Klitschko and Kaya Evdokia shifted to Ukraine. An insider claimed in 2019 that Hayden’s life had taken a different turn with her daughter staying away from her. However, Panettiere frequently visited her daughter on certain occasions. For the unversed, Hayden had also struggled with her addiction issues in the past, along with postpartum depression. She continued dealing with the problem after Kaya was born.

Wladimir Klitschko was granted full custody of Kaya in 2018. Hayden Panettiere later clarified in an interview that the truth was something else. She said that Kaya had a habit of going to Ukraine to visit her father. But on one particular occasion, Kaya reached Ukraine, and Wladimir allegedly told Hayden that he wanted full custody. Hayden admitted that she was heartbroken to sign the papers for the same. She further stated:
“I remember her dad calling me and telling me Kaya’s going around as asking other women if she can call them mommy. My heart hitched and my heart stopped, and he was laughing. He thought this was funny and it was horrifying to me.”
