Millie Bobby Brown expresses her wish on having a biological daughter
Recently, Millie Bobby Brown had a conversation on Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, during which she opened up about motherhood and revealed her wish to have her biological daughter, after adopting a daughter in August 2025. Sharing the reason behind adoption, the Stranger Things actress stated that she dreamt of it since a young age. In her childhood, Millie had dolls but she always called them adopted. She was quoted as saying:
“Always, always wanted to adopt. It was always part of my childhood dreams. Every time I was at home and I was, you know, 5, 6 years old, my parents were like, ‘You had your baby dolls.’ They were all adopted. I never had any of them myself. And I never pretended I was pregnant. It’s not because I don’t want that. Hopefully one day that’s in my future. Adoption is love, adoption is forever.”

Further, Millie Bobby Brown spoke about being interested in adoption during her social work courses. Reportedly, Millie first studied to be a social worker and later switched to veterinary medicine. During her time at social worker school, she understood how meaningful adoption is what the journey of being a birth mother is. Millie and her husband, Jake took their own time to understand the journey and later adopted a girl. In her words:
“I loved the aspect of adoption in my social work courses… so meaningful and important. And then I also learned what it, you know, speaking to, and reading a lot about being a birth mother and what that journey is. So for me, my husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like. And then we embarked it.”
