Ruturaj Gaikwad registered his 21st List A century during India A’s Tri-Nation Series match against Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla on Tuesday.
Gaikwad reached the three-figure mark off 112 deliveries, striking six fours and three sixes. He was dismissed shortly after for 101 from 114 balls.
The India A vice-captain walked in at No. 4 after both openers, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Prabhsimran Singh, fell in quick succession. He steadied the innings with a 53-run partnership alongside Priyansh Arya before putting on 150 runs for the fourth wicket with captain Tilak Varma.
It was Gaikwad’s fourth List A century for India A and his 21st overall in the format. His highest List A score remains the unbeaten 220 he made for Maharashtra against Uttar Pradesh in 2022.
The 28-year-old has now amassed 5,161 runs in 96 List A innings.
