iQOO has started sharing new information about its upcoming smartphone iQOO 15R before its launch. The company has confirmed that iQOO 15R will be officially announced on February 24. There is a dedicated microsite live on Amazon for this phone, which is being continuously updated. In the footnotes section of the same microsite, it has been revealed that as per the trend, the upcoming iQOO phone will get a very big battery pack and a hint about its price has also been given.
The footnote at the end of the Amazon listing according toiQOO 15R will be provided with a large battery of 7,600mAh. Despite such a big battery, the thickness of the phone is said to be only 7.9mm. It is written in the footnote that this will be the thinnest phone among the smartphones coming in 7600mAh battery category. Apart from this, it is also revealed that the smartphone will be launched in the sub-Rs 50,000 price segment. The note says that iQOO 15R will provide the most stable 144Hz BGMI playing among smartphones under Rs 50,000.
With a price range of Rs 50 thousand, iQOO 15R is being considered as a direct competitor of OnePlus 15R, whose starting price is Rs 47,999. Both smartphones have Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
The company has also confirmed that the iQOO 15R will receive four Android OS updates and six years of security updates. This phone will come with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Keeping in mind the gaming users, Q2 supercomputing feature will be provided in it, which will help in providing stable experience of 144fps in games like BGMI.
