Vivo has confirmed the launch date of its new V series smartphone lineup in India. The company will launch Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite in the Indian market on February 19. This new series will replace the Vivo V60 series launched last year. Vivo V series is known for camera focused smartphones and this time too the company is going to pursue the same strategy. Vivo V70 series will be launched in the premium segment and its sale has been confirmed through Flipkart, Amazon and Vivo India’s online store.
Vivo’s according toVivo V70 series will have a camera system with ZEISS certification. It will have a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera, which will come with the largest 1.3cm sensor in the segment. The camera will support 4K 60fps video recording and the company claims that there has been a special focus on zoom clarity. Apart from this, new AI features will also be provided to improve photography and overall user experience.
Talking about performance, Vivo V70 Elite has been confirmed to have Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. According to reports, this phone can come with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset is expected to be provided in the standard Vivo V70. Both smartphones will work on OriginOS 6, which will be based on Android 16.
In the display section, flat panel will be used in Vivo V70 series. It will have a 6.59 inch 1.5K display, which will support 120Hz refresh rate. Talking about battery and charging, Vivo V70 series will have a battery of up to 6500mAh, which will support 90W wired fast charging. Apart from this, both the phones will have dust and water resistance with IP68 and IP69 ratings.
Talking about camera setup, Vivo V70 series will have ZEISS powered 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilization. It is expected to have a 50MP telephoto camera and an ultra-wide camera. A 50MP front camera can be provided in the phone for selfie and video calling. Talking about color options, Vivo V70 will come in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow colors, while Vivo V70 Elite will be launched in Passion Red, Sand Beige and Authentic Black shades. At present the company has not given any official information regarding the price, but reports According to the company, the price of the base variant can be above Rs 40,000, while the premium variant will be launched within Rs 55,000.
