The face of the future automobile industry is clearly visible in the Auto Show 2026, which started in China’s capital Beijing. More than 1,450 vehicles and 181 global debuts are being presented in this mega event spread over 3.8 lakh square meters. Chinese and global companies have introduced concepts of future cars and e-tools (flying vehicles) that can change the meaning of driving in the future.
Avatar Vision Spectra – Car of the Future This 5.8 meter long electric grand tourer from Avtaar offers a ‘mobile space’ like design. The glass roof, pillarless doors and prismatic cabin make it more of a luxury experience than a car. It has autonomous hardware and a motor with 99% efficiency.

Wet Robotaxi – Driverless Car with No Steering
Geely has introduced autonomous robotaxi. It does not have a steering wheel. Face-to-face seating and sensor-based navigation system make it completely driverless. State-of-the-art technology enables it to take decisions on its own. The commercial version may come next year.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a car that is completely connected to your smart home. From your mobile phone you can open car doors, set up charging, while from the car you can control home appliances. For example, when you drive off, the car can turn off all lights, appliances, and draw curtains, as well as turn on the air conditioning when it detects you arriving home. Its AI system can also make restaurant bookings while driving.
Citroën Elo – mobile office
Citroen’s Elo concept is an electric MPV. It comes with a driver seat in the middle and rotating feature. Its seats can convert into beds and inside there is a mini theater like experience with a projection screen. This car combines travel, work and leisure.
