According to multiple reports, Mika and Jake are no longer a couple as they called off their engagement. In her professional front, Mika as ‘Allie Hayes’ and Stephen Kalyn as ‘Dean Di Laurentis’ will lead in Off Campus Season 2. Amid the split, Jake’s emotional words for Mika have gone viral.

Mika’s representative has confirmed to US Weekly that she and Jake are no longer a thing. Amid this, Jake’s emotional words for Mika have gone viral on social media. On December 10, 2025, Jake took to his Instagram handle and shared a carousel featuring several candid moments of Mika. Sharing the cutesy pictures, Jake stated that they had spent a lot of time together in Europe that year, and he wished to get closer to her. He wrote:
“Spent a lot of time with Europe this year, and I wish she and I were even closer.”
In fact, Mika also had the sweetest reaction. She wrote in the comment section, “It’s actually not that bad.” It is worth mentioning that both Mika and Jake still follow each other on Instagram. Mika’s representative added that both Mika and her ex-fiance will continue to remain on friendly terms. According to reports, Mika and Jake called off their engagement after one year. Mika’s representative can be quoted as saying:
“Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life, it would feel remiss to not address that she and Jake are no longer together. They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”

Mika first crossed paths with Jake on the set of Sex Appeal in 2021. The pair began dating sometime around 2021. In 2024, Mika opened up about her and Jake’s first meeting on The American High Podcast. Recalling their first meet up when they both arrived in Syracuse, New York, Mika said:
“I came over just to say hi, and we ended up talking — not about the script, just talking and getting to know each other for hours. He was really cool and sweet and great.”
After being introduced, Mika and Jake would sit together in the former’s hotel room to read scripts while sharing a bottle of wine. They kept the bottle as a keepsake and used it to store olive oil. Rumours about their engagement began to float in 2024 when Jake jokingly proposed to Mika during a July 2024 episode of The American High Podcast. During the conversation, Jake shared that Mika asked him when they were getting married every day.
Jake asked Mika, “Will you marry me?” off-camera, and she said “yes!” At the time, host, Jeremy Garelick said, “Most romantic proposal of all time.”The couple got engaged in 2025, and it was Jake’s manager, Brian Medavoy, who confirmed the news. Brian wrote, “An awesome day yesterday celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiance, Mika Abdalla. From set to real life – watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to forever.” If the reports are believed to be true, then Mika and Jake had a nearly 5-year relationship.
