Bobby Deol’s Bandar receives 4 stars out of 5
While there is still some time for Bandar to release, the excitement around it is already very high. Amid that, a popular film critic named Kuldeep Gadhavi recently saw the film and shared his first review. Giving 4 stars to Bandar, Kuldeep shared:
“A powerful crime thriller that keeps you guessing till the end while delivering stellar performances and a sharp commentary on the justice system. Bandar is a gripping and thought-provoking crime drama mystery thriller that keeps you invested throughout its 2-hour 16-minute runtime. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film explores the dark side of fame, relationships, power, and a flawed justice system with remarkable intensity and realism.”

Bandar is Bobby Deol’s most mature role
Further, when the film critic went out to talk about the performances of Bobby Deol, Sanya Malhotra and more, he couldn’t stop praising the Ashram actor. He explained that Bobby Deol’s role in Bandar is his career’s most mature, vulnerable and powerful character. He also hailed Sanya Malhotra and Saba Azad for their respective performances. He concluded the review by calling Bandar a thought-provoking film that will make viewers question the truth. In his words:
“Bobby Deol delivers one of his most mature, controlled, vulnerable, and emotionally powerful, Sanya Malhotra is absolutely outstanding, Indrajith Sukumaran delivers a commanding performance, Saba Azad shines with a layered performance. Bandar is a bold, intelligent, and emotionally engaging thriller that raises important questions about truth, media trials, power, and justice.”

When Bobby Deol spoke about his fees for Bandar
Cast fees of any film is one of the most talked-about topics among fans; however, celebrities refrain from talking about it. Well, in this case, Bobby Deol recently had a chat with Wion, during which the actor revealed that he did not ask for any hike in his fees, as he believed that the story was more important. Sharing his idea on his role in Bandar, Bobby Deol was quoted as saying:
“I didn’t increase my fee for this film. When a project truly excites me as an actor, money isn’t the first thing I think about. What drew me in was the opportunity to play such a real, grounded character. We are often conditioned to portray larger-than-life roles, but being completely normal on screen is actually far more challenging.”

Is Bandar inspired by a true story?
For those who do not know, Bobby Deol’s movie, Bandar is inspired by a real-life incident; however, a few changes have been made in the overall narrative. At the Toronto International Film Festival, Anurag Kashyap shared, “The idea came from a true story. But we obviously had to navigate very thin lines. You don’t know who’s right, who’s wrong. This film is not about declaring someone innocent or guilty. It’s about the cracks in the system, the silences in the courtroom, and the people who disappear inside them.”
