Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on Sunday won the Orange Cap for most runs scored in IPL 2026, ending his season with 776 runs from 16 innings at a whopping strike rate of 237.31.
At 15 years and 65 days, the Rajasthan Royals batsman is the youngest to claim the honour. The achievement caps off a swashbuckling season where he notched up one century and five fifties.
He was on the cusp of smashing the fastest century in the Eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad but fell on 97 off 29 deliveries.
During the season, Sooryavanshi also completed 1000 IPL runs in just his 23rd innings, becoming the fastest Indian to reach the milestone.
Shubman Gill of Gujarat Titans finished in second place with 732 runs from 16 innings while his teammate Sai Sudharsan ended third with his 724 runs.
