The World Championship of Legends (WCL), claiming to be the world’s second most-watched cricket league with 423 million global viewers, will return for its third season in October.
The league, built around cricket’s most iconic rivalries and retired superstars, has carved out a unique space on the global cricket calendar.
Unlike traditional exhibition events, WCL has built its identity around reviving historic international rivalries like India vs Pakistan and Australia vs England. The first two seasons featured players like AB de Villiers, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Hashim Amla, Brett Lee, Shaun Marsh, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik. There were additional appearances from Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and former England white-ball captain Eoin Morgan.

Season 3 is set to feature seven national teams: India Champions, Pakistan Champions, England Champions, Australia Champions, South Africa Champions, West Indies Champions, and Bangladesh Champions.
Bangladesh is the latest addition to the ecosystem.
WCL founder and CEO Harshit Tomar said the upcoming edition represents another step in the league’s growth. “When we launched WCL, our vision was to give fans a tournament that goes beyond cricket — a celebration of the icons who shaped the game. In just two seasons, WCL has grown into the world’s second most-watched cricket league, and Season 3 is going to take that legacy to an entirely new level.”
