Xiaomi has expanded its smart TV portfolio by launching Redmi Smart TV A50 Energy Efficiency Level 1 Edition. This is the company’s new 50-inch smart TV, which has been introduced keeping in mind the entry-level segment. According to the company, the TV has a 50-inch 4K UHD display, 144Hz refresh rate, Direct-lit LCD panel and Xiaomi’s Surge OS. Apart from this, it has 20W sound output, quad-core processor and many connectivity ports, so that it can be used for home entertainment.

Redmi Smart TV A50 Energy Efficiency Level 1 Edition has been priced at 1399 Yuan (approximately Rs 16,000). This price places it in the budget smart TV segment. According to Xiaomi, the TV has a 50-inch 4K UHD display, whose resolution is 3840 × 2160 pixels. The TV has a Direct-lit LCD panel and Direct Backlighting, which helps in maintaining uniform brightness on the screen. Along with this, True Tone display technology is also supported.

For performance, the TV has a quad-core Cortex-A35 processor, with which Mali-G31 MP2 GPU is available. The system is offered with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. This smart TV runs on Xiaomi Surge OS. The “Energy Efficiency Level 1” in its name refers to the rating, as it meets China’s highest power-efficiency standards. In simple language, it claims to save more power than other TVs.

For audio, the TV has been provided with dual speakers, whose output is 10W + 10W, that is, a total sound output of 20W is available. In terms of connectivity, the TV has two HDMI ports (one with ARC support), two USB-A ports, AV input, Ethernet LAN, DTMB and analog signal support, S/PDIF audio output and infrared support. Apart from this, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support is also available in the TV.
